Welcome to St.Thomas Mar Thoma Church, Auckland

HISTORY

In the year 2002, a worship community was formed in Auckland when Rt. Rev. Dr. Zacharias Mar Theophilus Suffragan Metropolitan visited and offered the first Malayalam Holy Qurbana. Then onwards regular service was scheduled every month.

In the year 2004, this worship community was recognized as a congregation during the visit of Rt. Rev.Dr.Isaac Mar Philoxenos Episcopa.

On January 1st 2005, the Metropolitan declared the congregation as a parish of the Mar Thoma Church after the visit of Diocesan Episcopa, Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa.
